Martock Cottage is a traditional 19th century former workers cottage in the heart of Beaminster. A contemporary but cosy feel, with lots of thoughtful touches await you! Recently refurbished, the cottage is spacious, with the added benefit of an enclosed courtyard garden to the rear, with BBQ. Downstairs the contemporary kitchen opens to the dining area, which has patio doors to the courtyard.  The cosy living room has a log burner.  Upstairs and two bedrooms with lovely countryside views to the rear and wooden flooring throughout.

An excellent base from which to explore the area. Beaminster is a real gem of a town, with plenty of interesting shops, cafes, pubs, and two excellent restaurants. Made famous in Thomas Hardy’s books as ‘Emminster’, the town is surrounded by beautiful countryside, with many excellent walks. Each year the town hosts the very popular ‘Beaminster festival of music and arts’, and is also the closest town to Martin Clunes’ Buckham Fair, and was the first location for River Cottage. Situated approximately 5 miles from Bridport and the beaches at West Bay which was the location for the 'Broadchurch' , as well as being within easy access of Lyme Regis, Weymouth and the Jurassic coast.

Beautifully decorated property with enclosed back garden for our dog. It was immaculately clean and very convenient for shops, pubs etc. Would happily stay there again.

Mrs Adriana S,

Fabulous property. Cottage well located with a very good convenience store close by and views over the field to the rear.. Beaminster is a small town with independent shops, cafes and pubs. Very dog friendly.
