Autumn Breaks

Looking at the recent weather forecasts it is safe to say that summer may now unfortunately be over. Whilst this may be sad for some here at Wyke we love the autumn, being on the beautiful Jurassic coast there are plenty of amazing walks and things to see and do as the days get shorter.

Why not book a holiday with us for the October half term; we have a number of fantastic properties available in a number of great locations in Dorset. Here are our top picks:

Flat 8, Sandringham Court: Swanage- with lovely views towards the Purbeck hills this property is perfect for the October Half Term, situated within a 10 minute walk to the beach, town centre and open countryside this wonderful flat is great for exploring all that Swanage has to offer.

Dulcima Cottage: Corfe Mullen- This Luxury property is perfect for a holiday with a large group, sleeping up to 8 Dulcima Cottage has been recently refurbished to a very high standard. Buzzards Haunt: Charmouth- one mile from Charmouth this lovely cottage sleeps 5 and is set in a peaceful relaxing location; with access to the facilities at the Fernhill Heights Hotel this property also has the added benefit of accepting one dog making it great for exploring the countryside.

Ha’Penny Cottage: Loaders- Located in the pretty village of Loaders, surrounded by hills and pretty villages as well as being close to the towns of Bridport and West Bay this cottage is located in the perfect place for exploring all of West Dorset. This property sleeps 5 and has a cosy living room with a wood burner.

West View House: Acton- this property was originally a quarryman’s cottage that was extended in the 1880s. This family home retains many of its original features and has lots of charm. In a quiet countryside location this property has beautiful views out towards the fields and has easy access to walks along the Jurassic costal path. It is also only a short walk to the famous Square and Compass pub.

Fern Cottage: Charmouth- Part of a group of cottages sharing grounds with the Fernhill Heights Hotel, Fern Cottage has access to an outdoor pool and BBQ area, with a spacious open plan dining/ living room this property has a lovely feel. Surrounded by woodlands Fern cottage has a peaceful and relaxing feel.

Lillcote: Langton Matravers- This traditional Purbeck stone cottage is located in the charming village of Langton Matravers; this property has the added benefit of having an open fire to enjoy the autumn evenings. This property also is in a great location for many autumnal walks.
