Things to do in Dorset this October!

Published: Thursday 19th Sep 2019

October marks the complete end of summer, but that isn’t any reason to be sad… Bring on the Autumn fun! Dorset is a fabulous place to visit when the leaves turn red and the sea gets choppy, its stunning to watch happen. If you get tired of all the amazing walks in the area (if that’s possible!) we have looked into what is going on in Dorset this month.

If you are looking for something to do, then why not take the opportunity to visit Corfe Castle this October half term? Every year the team at the National Trust put on multiple activities for the family. My personal favourite is the Great Escape, where you may bring one brave Teddy Bear to complete the zip run down from the castle itself! Or you can watch the replica medieval siege engine firing missiles into the air!

If you are looking for an event that is a bit more aimed towards adults, check out the annual CAMRA Octoberfest. It is Weymouth’s very own Octoberfest Beer Festival! This year featuring around 50 real ales and 15 ciders, and every entry ticket gets a free pint.

Come down to Dorset and enjoy what the county has to offer.
