Mother's Day in Dorset - Sunday 22nd March

If you are lucky enough to be spending time in Dorset this Mother’s Day then here are a few of our suggestions to celebrate the day!

Why not take time to enjoy some local food a book a table for lunch or dinner – The Orchard at West Holme nr Wareham serves locally sourced ingredients – some of which are grown in their own gardens and farm. On a sunny day, relax outdoors with views over the pond to the Purbeck Hills. If the view of the sea is more your thing then take a stroll along Weymouth Seafront to Café Oasis at Bowleaze; a stylish café bar with incredible views and excellent wine and seafood choices on the menu. For a more relaxed choice, pick from one of our country pubs – The Kings Arms at Portesham will welcome you with a warming fire, a great menu and a garden to sit and enjoy whilst watching the world go by.

If you’re away with your young children, let them treat you to a day out at Farmer Palmer's Farm Park - check out their website and download a mum gets in half price voucher! Cream teas all round at Abbotsbury Gardens, Brownsea Island Café or Summer Lodge – the only problem will be deciding if the jam or cream goes on first! Dorset has so many splendid houses and gardens to explore and enjoy – Athelhampton House and Gardens, Sherborne Castle, Lulworth Castle and Kingston Lacy all look beautiful in March and make a special location to spend time together.
